Brit Woman Drops Cat In Garbage- Caught By Cameras!
By Glenn Johnson
The woman who tossed a cat into a sealed garbage bin in Britain can’t understand why thousands of people around the world are making a “fuss” about it.
Mary Bale, a 45-year-old bank worker, told The Sun newspaper Wednesday that she put the cat in the recycle bin as “a joke.”
“It’s just a cat,” the paper quoted her as saying.
On Saturday, Bale was caught on a closed-circuit television camera caressing the cat’s head and looking around as it walked near her on a wall in Coventry.
Moments later, the woman opened the hinged lid of a large green bin, tossed the cat inside, and then walked away.
The cat, a four-year-old pet named Lola and was discovered by its owners some 15 hours later, covered in its own waste.

The couple started a Facebook page called Help Find The Woman Who Put My Cat In The Bin. As of Tuesday, there were more than 15,000 supporters. Another site calling for Bale to be jailed already has some 5,000 supporters.
Some of the comments range from anger to extreme hatred, threatening the woman with death and dismemberment.
Police officers were stationed outside Bale’s home to protect her from the animal lovers.
No charges were laid because police said no criminal act had taken place. However, local animal welfare authorities were to interview Bale.
Bale said in the interview that people were “overreacting.”
“I did it as a joke because I thought it would be funny. I never thought it would be trapped.”
Bale refused to answer many questions from the dozens of reporters outside her home, but she released a statement:
“I want to take this opportunity to apologize profusely for the upset and distress that my actions have caused. I cannot explain why I did this, it is completely out of character and I certainly did not intend to cause any distress to Lola or her owners.
“It was a split second of misjudgment that has got completely out of control.”
“I am due to meet with the RSPCA and police to discuss this matter further and will co-operate fully with their investigations.
I wish to reiterate that I am profoundly sorry for my actions and wish to resolve this matter to everyone’s satisfaction as soon as possible.”
Bale said she is afraid she’ll lose her job as a customer service assistant at the Royal Bank of Scotland after getting a call from her boss.
“I’ve had to talk to the bank’s security people about what to do if people who think I hurt the cat try to find me,” Bale told Sky News.
The owners told Reuters news agency they are dumbfounded by the incident.
“I don’t know how anyone could, you know, go to bed and sleep at night knowing that they’ve just locked a cat in a wheelie bin,” said owner Darryl Mann, who had the security camera installed after his car was vandalized.
He said the cat is fine.
