US Senator Paul Ryan Horse Crap Budget...

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan did a great public service when he released his budget last week. By throwing a piece of total garbage on the table and pretending it is a real budget plan, he allowed us to see who in Washington is serious about the budget and who just says things that will push their agenda.

It is easy to see that Ryan himself could not possible be serious about the document he put out as a "Path to Prosperity." The Congressional Budget Office analysis of the plan, which was prepared under Representative Ryan's direction, shows that all categories of government spending outside of health care and Social Security will shrink to 3.75 percent of GDP by 2050.

Dear Quicken- TurboTax Customer Service.
Cust # 1147473XXX
C.c. marketplace@cbc.ca

Thank you for your reply to my email noted below regarding your annual subscriber pricing to Turbo Tax Clients. You have overcharged subscribers 28% versus retailers Walmart and Staples in 2012.

As a point of reference I have been a loyal Quicken Intuit customer for 20+ years. I use Quicken for personal finances and Quickbooks for my business. Prior to signing up for your annual subscription to Turbo Tax , I always purchase the CD software in Staples or Walmart each tax year.

I feel I was taken advantage of by being a subscriber and dealing directly with Quicken - Turbo Tax . My credit card statement shows a charge of $40.67 includes hst versus Walmart at $32.56 incl hst and Staples $32.02 incl hst.

And the product sold in these stores comes with a CD for installation. AN OUTRAGOUS OVERCHARGE TO LOYAL CLIENTS In my case I use it to prepare 2 returns each year.

That is approx 28% increase to a loyal client versus any person buying at a retailer mentioned.
The statement Charge shows: Jan. 16, 2012 INTUIT CANADA EDMONTON, AB $40.67

I want a refund for the overcharge at a minimum to the Visa you have on file in my name. And a complete refund if you have any customer service left in your company.

If your fail to meet my minimum request above then my next step which will include posting this outrage on consumer blogs , Tweeting to the world , and posting a TurboTax Ripoff group on FaceBook.

Let see I might even create a petition for ALL Turbo Tax subscribers to voice their outrage on Facebook.

And then there is CBC Marketplace who are always looking for a Canadian company scamming their clients.

I look forward to your prompt reply to determine my next steps.

Review the numbers below , you have overcharged me and other annual subscribers for The Standard Turbo Tax that requires us to download software, so your costs miniscule.

I have noted that Walmart here in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada is selling Walmart Turbo Tax CD software version for $28.82

This is Walmart and I can even order it thru their online order system:

Thank you for contacting TurboTax, previously QuickTax.
I humbly apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

I would like to inform you that whether you choose to purchase directly from Intuit Canada, or from your local retailer is a matter of preference. Many of our customers find it more convenient to purchase online since retailers are not always close to home, or they just don't have the time to visit a local retailer. For some, purchasing locally is much more convenient.

There is a suggested retail price for our software but local retailers are competing between each other and they will often have in store rebates, or sales. To be honest, we don't have control over this, and as you are getting a better pricing by purchasing through retail then we definitely suggest that you should take advantage of the retail offers.

For any further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you,
Khursheed Shah
