The scope of things ...

Leo- Thursday, April 1, 2010

Mars has been on your sign since way back in October and it’s staying with you through to early June. This is an extremely rare event. There is a need remind you that you are very powerful now and must use this energy judiciously to attain your goals. Your integrity has been unjustly challenged by misinformed sources. With Mars now firmly ensconced on your side of the battlefield, your enemies have little chance of breaching your defences. In fact, it is they should be worried, not you.

Life’s been taking you through so many twists and turns, up and downs, that it has of late been driving you around the bend. If it keeps up any longer you might end up going stark raving mad. Well, perhaps, you’re reading this from an asylum. Let’s hope it hasn’t reached that point. The frustrating thing is that you know where you are and you have a clear vision of where you want to end up. The road ahead is clearly laid out before you. Sadly, though, there’s a roadblock blocking your entry. Apparently, it’s in need of some repairs. Your plan is good. Your strategy is sound. But the timing is not quite in synch yet. It soon will be, though. A certain obstacle is not as insurmountable as you fear. The road will soon be ready for you.

Scorpio- Friday, April 2, 2010

Mercury’s close proximity to Venus is highly auspicious. It evokes the idea of a crucial conversation taking place or an essential exchange with someone with whom you do not see eye to eye. This, despite all the cause for discord, is a distinct possibility. You may not see this as a viable development. You may even regard it as thoroughly improbable. That’s all well and fine. You shouldn’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. But something may happen that softens your attitude and the attitude of the person in question. An accord, however tentative, might soon be added to your agenda.

Pisces- Friday, April 2, 2010

It might be advisable, at the very least, to agree, either officially or tacitly, to differ with a certain person with who you have had problems. Agreeing to disagree at least lightens up the mood and makes it acceptable. Anything in the way of improvement can’t hurt now, can it? You are likely to be surprised by the fact, that the person in question is aware of the need for improvement and may be more than willing to enter into some sort of accord.

Huge lottery win fails to faze Alberta mom

EDMONTON — Joanne Tsetta has 20,664,572 reasons to go diamond-shoes and solid-gold-toilet crazy.

But the Edmonton mother of three, 40, has been the picture of calm since she realized she'd won the biggest individual lottery payout in Alberta's history.

For days after the March 20 draw, Tsetta didn't check her numbers, because she assumed she would never win. When she went to a gas station on March 26, she only intended to pick up a few items, not check her tickets. When she realized she'd won, she calmly put the ticket away, went home and continued her daily routine.

For days, she kept the secret from most family and friends. She didn't buy anything or throw a party with her $20,664,572 jackpot.

"To be brutally honest, I wasn't thinking at all. It was just another day to me. What can I say? There was disbelief, but I wasn't really in shock until a few days later, when I was on the Internet. When it first sunk in was when I read that I was a multimillionaire."

For days, Tsetta was the mystery woman who hadn't yet claimed her prize. Eventually, she told family members, who had more immediate reactions.

"Believe it or not, my daughter punched me in the arm," Tsetta said at a Thursday news conference, where she was introduced to the public.

Tsetta moved to Edmonton from Yellowknife six months ago. She is currently going to school to complete her Grade 12, which she plans to continue with until her summer graduation.

She has few plans, besides a vow to maintain some normalcy in her life and "go with the flow.

She already knows some of the money will go to her children's education, and some for a new car. She's always dreamt about overseas travel, but hates the idea of flying over an ocean.

There have been bigger lottery jackpots in Alberta, but those had large groups of winners. Tsetta estimates she plays the lottery five times a year. The most she'd previously won was $150.

The winner of the other half of the jackpot, a 49-year-old woman in London, Ont., has already claimed her prize.
